Hyundai’s Elantra sedan has the distinction of the largest cabin in the class, which helps give an airy feeling to its occupants. However, the exterior design hasn’t changed to reflect that of the new Elantra Touring. All models get a 140-hp 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic. Interior is comfortable, but not terribly glamorous.

Pros

Comfortable, reliable

Cons

Uninspiring
