Suzuki’s XL7 crossover features a comfortable cabin for seven people. Powered by a 252-hp 3.6-litre V6 with a six-speed automatic transmission, the all-wheel drive model goes head-to-head with the Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, and General Motors’ triplets. Unfortunately, the ride is spongy and the interior is merely average in this class.

Pros

Seven seats, reasonable price

Cons

Doesn't stand out in the crowd
