The Avalon continues as Toyota’s large flagship, aimed at Buick buyers and those who want a little luxury without having to buy a Lexus. The front-wheel drive sedan uses a 268-hp 3.5-litre V6 and five-speed automatic transmission. In terms of basic amenities, it’s loaded. For those who wish for more, a navigation system, Bluetooth capability, rain-sensing wipers and more are available. The cabin features lots of similar backlit buttons, which can get confusing.

Pros

Lots of space, isolating

Cons

easily missed in a crowd
